Here’s what it does.
KinTag connects a helper to your chosen contact details. It does not track, monitor or prevent someone becoming separated.

- What it is
- A passive NFC emergency-contact tag made by Next to Kin.
- What a tap does
- An activated tag opens a web page with the contact information its owner has chosen to share.
- Phone compatibility
- A compatible NFC smartphone, with NFC enabled where required. The phone needs internet to load the page.
- App or battery
- No app is required for the helper. The tag has no battery and needs no charging.
- Location tracking
- No GPS, Bluetooth tracking or live location reporting. A KinTag cannot locate someone remotely.
- Who it can help
- Children and adults who may need someone else to help them reach a family member or trusted contact. The wearer does not need to carry a phone.
The tag stays the same.
The details can change.
Sign in to manage your tags. Update the main name and number, a second contact, allergies, medications, blood type, important details or a note. Optional fields can be left blank or removed.
Keep the primary contact current. If a caregiver or phone number changes, save the update and tap the tag again to check it.
Who can see the information?
The contact page is intended to be opened by a helper. Anyone who can open the tag’s URL can see the details you publish there. Add only what you’re comfortable sharing; signing in protects editing access, not the public contact page.
A minimal public profile can use a name and phone number. Activation also requires an email address and consent, with a code where applicable. If a tag is lost, contact support for help with deactivation and replacement options.
Plans and costs.
Choose $1/month, $10/year or $25 once for lifetime service. Optional pre-programming is $2.00 per order and shipping is $2.95 CAD. Monthly and annual plans recur; lifetime has no recurring plan fee.
